We all know how it is in the middle of winter. You have hours until nap time and your kids are driving you crazy. And, you need somewhere to go that doesn't cost a fortune, you can sit down for a minute, and your kid will get worn out. We just started trying out play areas at fast food places. But, it can be hard to know which ones are a good fit for your kiddo. Some are too small. Some are too big. Some are not kept up well. We found the Chick-fil-a on Nicholasville Road to be a good fit for my 2 year old.
First of all, I love Chick-fil-a. As far as fast food places go, I would say it is the best for us. The food is good, fast, consistent, and there are some healthy choices. They have a nice fruit bowl, a fruit pouch, and Honest Kids apple juice. We try to not choose fast food much for my little one, but at least I can make some good choices when I get him Chick-fil-a. But, enough about Chick-fil-a. I am sure you know all about it and it's delicious sandwiches and milkshakes.
The play place here is a decent size with a climbing area to get up to the top (see above picture). We have had issues with my son not being tall enough to reach to climb up in some play areas. But, this isn't a problem here. He loved climbing up and seeing what was up there. There are a bunch of tunnels to climb through, a car to look down in and a slide to get back down. Plus, there is a wall with some things to turn, slide and play with. There is a sign in this play area that says it is for kids less than 3 years of age. But, there were plenty of older kids playing there when we went.

So, if you are looking for a good play area to try out with your younger kiddo, this may be a good fit. We like coming here and eating and then playing, especially when the weather is bad. Keep in mind though, Chick-fil-a is closed on Sunday.
