It has been a long, hot, dry summer but it looks like fall is finally here! A lot of fun options this weekend to choose from. But, it looks like there is rain in the forecast for Saturday with a high of 69 degrees. Sunday should be beautiful though with some sun and a high of 74 degrees. Hope you all enjoy this weekend and everyone gets a nap in!
Saturday, October 1st:
Boyd Orchard is having a Fall Festival. Take a hayride around the orchard, stop and pick some apples or pumpkins, enjoy lunch on the patio with live music and let the kids play on their playgrounds. Take your turn on the 90 foot slide, play on the 3 story tree house, or make your way to the top of the Giant Hay Castle! Kids $12 and adults $8. Evans Orchard is having a Harvest Festival, which includes pony and hay rides, corn bin, tire climb, large slides, jumping pillows, fresh kettle corn, train rides, and animal area. 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. $8 per child, adults free with a paid child admission. 180 Stone Rd. Bi-Water Farms is having their AutumnFest. They have hayrides, Spooky FarmHouse, Enchanted Barnyard, Pirates Cove, Trike Track, Barnyard Babies, Lost Pumpkin Mine, li’l Pumpkin Play Patch, The Bird House, Bunnyville, Cowboy Corral, Billy Goat Mountain, 5 Acre Corn Maze, Sky High Slide, People Spinners, Bi-Water Ball Park, Pumpkin Vine Zip Lines, Bounce Around Corral, Chutes & Slides. LexVegFest is from 11am to 4pm. Come celebrate the benefits of plant based diet: taste good food, have a beer, enjoy live music, learn from our speakers, watch the cooking demonstration, and visit with different veg friendly vendors. Lexington Fire Prevention Festival. This annual event will feature fun for the entire family. Patrons can enjoy vision/hearing screenings, pony rides/petting zoo, fire truck rides, a kids combat challenge, bouncy houses, bike rodeo, Kasey the Fire Dog and much more.
