Halloween Fun!

There are about a million things (give or take) to do this week with Halloween coming up. So, I decided to do a weekday list of Halloween events this week. These are just the Halloween-themed events that are going on. Also, check back frequently as new events will be added as I come across them. So, put those finishing touches on those costumes and have fun!

Tuesday, October 25th

PumpkinMania at Transylvania University from 6pm to 7:30pm. PumpkinMania, a Lexington Halloween tradition, will continue on Oct. 25 when Transylvania University lights hundreds of jack-o’-lanterns on the steps of historic Old Morrison off West Third Street.The community is encouraged to attend this event, which will feature:•6-7 p.m. trick-or-treating, a food vendor (cash only) and other refreshments•7 p.m. jack-o'-lantern lightingThe rain location will be in the Beck Center off North Broadway. And free, nearby parking will be available for the event. More information here.

A Cup of Commonwealth is having a Pumpkin Painting Party from 5pm to 8pm. Join On The Move Art Studio and A Cup of Commonwealth for some pumpking painting fun! Free hot chocolate, pumpkins, and pumpkin decorating for all kids--Adults, you can get in on the fun too :)We'll be showing a Halloween movie and having a blast so come on down. This is a pop-up event so you can come in and leave any time you wish. More information here.

Georgetown Police Department is having a Cops with Treats event from 5pm to 6pm at the Police Department. Cops with TREATS on Bourbon Street is back for the 5th year. All ghouls and goblins welcome. Wear your halloween costume and join the fun.

Wednesday, October 26th

Central Library is having a Halloween Hoedown from 10am to 11am. Grab your boots & join us at the barnyard for a not-so-spooky Halloween celebration! Come dressed in costume for songs, stories & hands-on crafts & games. We'll end with a trick-or-treat parade around the children's department. For ages 0-5 with a parent or caregiver.

Man of War Church of God is having a Family Fall Festival from 6pm to 8pm. This year we are having a Classic Movie theme and costumes are encouraged. There will be a chili cook-off, inflatables, games, candy, and prizes. This event is for everyone in your family, young and old. Please RSVP on our Facebook events page, which is here.

Old Paris Road Church of God is having their Trunk or Treat event from 6:30pm to 8pm. A time of fun, candy, games, candy, popcorn, candy, cotton candy, face painting and did we mention candy!?! A free event for the community! Come be a part of the Fun! More information here.

Georgetown Baptist Church is having a Truck or Treat: Kingdom Fall Fest from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. We are decorating trunks and dressing up in Halloween costumes and trick-or-treating around our large parking lot. This year we will also have free food (hotdogs) and plenty of games for the kids. If you don't already have a costume idea in mind, you're welcome to join in the theme and dress up like a prince, knight, court jester, dragon, etc. Get as creative as you like and come join the fun! Second Presbyterian Church is having a Trunk or Treat event from 6pm to 730pm. Invite friends and neighbors and come in costume for some safe and spooky fun! More information here.

Thursday, October 27th

Eastside Library is having a Little Boo Bash from 11am to 12pm. Join us for our Little Boo Bash for some Halloween tricks, treats, crafts, and a costume parade! For ages 0-6. This event replaces Toddler Time today.

Crossroad Church is having a Pumpkin Patch Festival from 5:30 to 8:30pm at 4128 Todds Road. Everything you love about fall - costumes, carnival games, hayrides, face painting, Wandering Woods Trail, live music and Trunk R Treating - all for FREE! Food will be available to purchase, invite your friends and neighbors to celebrate the fall season! More information here.

Moss Hill Golf Course in Versailles is having a Halloween Boo-Nanza from 6pm to 8pm. Join us for a night of family fun at Moss Hill Golf Course. The Boo-Nanza features fun activities for kids, 12 and under, including trick or treating on the golf course and Halloween-themed games! More information here.

SAFY Community Fall Festival from 4pm to 6pm. Join us for our fall festival - there’s fun for everyone! Come out and meet new neighbors, reminisce with old friends and celebrate with family. We will have candy, games, pumpkin painting, and refreshments. Children can wear their Halloween costumes! Everyone is welcome - bring your friends and family. More information here.

Christ Church Cathedral is having an All Saints, All Souls and Halloween event from 5pm to 6pm. Children are invited to participate in fun and exciting All Hallow’s Eve activities, including crafts and dramas! Come to the Old Episcopal Burying Ground, 251 E. Third Street, 5:00-6:00pm on Thursday, October 27. Please wear Halloween costumes or the costume of a saint, and bring a trick-or-treat bag. There will be treats! Friday, October 28th

Tates Creek Library is having a Little Pumpkin Party from 10:30am to 11:00am. Celebrate Halloween with songs, library trick-or-treat, and games. For children 5 and younger.

Lucky's Market is having Pumpkin Painting from 4pm to 7pm. Bring your kiddos in to paint mini pumpkins- we'll supply the pumpkins, paint markers, and memories! This event is free, but our pumpkin supply is limited- please let us know you're coming so we know how many pumpkins to have on hand! More information here.

Picadome Fall Festival from 5pm to 8pm. Costumes Welcome! No masks please. Fun for the whole family. TICKETS:25 cents each. 50 for $10• Games & activities require between 1-6 tickets• Tickets will be sold at the door and in advance• Trunk or treating is free. SILENT AUCTION• Cash and checks only please. Games & prizes - Cupcake walk, Bounce house, Face painting,Trunk or Treat, Photo booth. FOOD: Visit the cafeteria to buy pizza ($2 a slice), drinks (.50 cents) and baked goods (.50 cents) from our 4th graders who are raising money for a special trip. More information here.

EKU Safety City Trick or Treat event from 6pm to 8pm at 1160 Red Mile Place. Community organizations and agencies will be handing out candy along with resources and safety information for kids and families. There will be games, children's activities, and a costume photo booth. Families are encouraged to bring new or gently used mittens/gloves, scarves, and/or winter hats to donate to charities benefiting Lexington families. This event is free and open to the community. Deep Springs Elementary is having a Trick or Treat event from 5pm to 7pm. Title 1, Family Resource Center, and PTA Present: Free Trunk or Treat. Free food will be provided for all DSE Students, there will be a small charge of 2$ for others. A costume contest and trunk decorating contest will take place. The best family trunk will win a gift card. RSVP your family trunk by texting 859-536-7813. Free craft and custom treat bag will also be provided. Come out and join all the fun. FaithPointe Lexington is having a Trick or Treat event. Come enjoy a FaithPointe Halloween celebration. Enjoy Trunk or Treat, free food and treats, while painting pumpkins and making other fun Halloween crafts. Bring your friends and family and show them how Faithpointe celebrates this fun/candy filled holiday. Make sure your sweet tooths are ready and come in your best costumes! More information here.

Brookdale Richmond Place is having a Fall Festival from 6:30pm to 8pm. Bring the family for some fun! Lots games, refreshments, photo booth, candy, hayrides and more! Costumes encouraged! Brookdale Richmond Place parking lot, 3051 Rio Dosa Drive. More information here.
