Spring Consignment Sales!

It is that time again! Flu season? Yes. Cold Season? Oh, yes. Allergy season? Shockingly, yes. But, it is also spring consignment sale season. Now, if you are new to consignment sales, you really should check one (or some) of these sales out. They are a great way to clothe and outfit your kids without spending a fortune. And, they are a great way to get some money out of things that your kids have outgrown or no longer play with. I can't tell you how many great deals I have found on clothing and toys for my son. Plus, when you get it home and find that, yep, he actually does not like this toy, you don't have to worry about having spent a fortune on it.

I have now both bought and sold at Rhea Lana, which is the biggest consignment sale in the area. I will say that I was really disappointed in the past about finding boys clothing there in previous years. Everything seemed a bit overpriced and lots of things had holes or stains. But, I will say that totally changed last year for me. I found a ton of items in their fall sale that were a steal, super cute and in great condition. Now, generally, I am not picky about a lot of clothing. My dude can rip a knee hole and get a butt grass stain like no other. But, it is always good to have at least a few nice outfits in your dresser. For those fancy play dates, that is.

I have also had pretty good luck in the past at Lil Lambs sale on Tates Creek, but really struggled to find much at this past fall sale. So, really, if you had bad luck in the past at one of these sales, check out another one. It obviously all depends on what they have coming in and how people price things. There are always going to be people that think their clothing was spun in gold and price it accordingly. But, there are also plenty of people that just don't want that stuff coming back into their home ever again.
